Klarna is now a public company

Posted by

June 27, 2016

We always strive to provide our partners and merchants with the best services and products on the market. As we continue our fast growth, we can now announce that Klarna has become a public company. Going public allows us to diversify our funding sources which enables us to scale and refine our services at a pace that matches our growth. This does not imply that Klarna will be listed on the stock exchange.

What does this mean for you?
Well, not much. We will update Klarna AB to say Klarna AB (publ) in all our assets. However, if you in your communication mention Klarna AB, please make sure that you update it to also say Klarna AB (publ).

This year at the Nordic E-Commerce Summit, we’re happy to present one remarkable merchant with a newly established award. The Innovative E-Commerce Solution of the Year Award will be presented to a company that has come up with an innovative way to provide an excellent customer experience.

The three final nominees, NA-KD.com, Gastrofy and Matsmart, have been selected by a Klarna jury based on a shortlist of merchants suggested by the tech-savvy people at the company. The final winner, however, will be determined by the expert participants at NES on May 18. You can learn more about the nominees here.
