The ability to autofill personal details is a core part of simplifying the buying experience for consumers. Some people, however, prefer to not have their details autofilled, which is why we’ve had a PIN-solution in place. In order to make deactivating autofill a smoother experience we’ve now updated it to an email opt-out. The consumer chooses to deactivate autofill in the checkout, fills in their email address, and receives an email in which they confirm the deactivation.
People that have previously used the PIN solution have been added to the group of consumers whose details won’t be autofilled in the checkout.
